Some people have suggested that a bite could possibly be life threatening, especially from larger specimens, so standard venomous snake bite treatment procedures should be followed as a precaution! Note that death from snake bite when treated correctly is uncommon in Australia.
This species may have a pink to red belly and is often mistaken for a juvenile Red-bellied Black Snake
