This Bougainville's skinks reputedly lays either eggs or has live young depending on its geographic location, eggs sometimes hatch soon after being laid. Found in leaf litter or under rocks, debris and rubbish.
This common species occurs from Eyre Peninsular in South Australia, through the Flinders Ranges and South Eastern South Australia including Kangaroo Island, through much of Victoria, and the Bass Straight Islands, Tasmania as well as North-eastern NSW.
