Note that this species currently includes skinks previously known as:-

C. brachyonyx, C. fallens, C. helenae, C. saxatilis and C. severus.

Note that some of these species below may be resurrected or renamed and some people and sites are still use the existing names, so there are links to the "old" names below with distribution maps

  
The lizard above is known as Ctenotus helenae however it is now considered to be Ctenotus inornatus by some people. (Status uncertain)

This species complex is widespread over mainland Australia
No accurate distribution map is available yet as these changes involve processing thousands of museum records in multiple museums
