Distribution:- Widespread throughout central and northern New South Wales.
In Victoria and South Australia, the Barking Marsh Frog is largely restricted to the floodplains of the River Murray. Barking Marsh Frog (Limnodynastes fletcheri) photographed at Bool Lagoon (Southeastern SA) - note this species looks almost identical to the Spotted Marsh Frog (Limnodynastes tasmaniensis) but sometimes has maroon markings next to its eye. It can also be distinguished by its call.
